Bellevue homeowners tend to think about the yard as part of the house. In Somerset and Lakemont that often means a terrace that takes in the view across Lake Washington or toward the Cascades. In Bridle Trails, with its larger wooded lots, it means outdoor rooms tucked among the trees. In Enatai, Woodridge and Newport Hills it can be a family patio with a fire feature and a lawn that the kids actually use.
Our crews work on the Eastside every day, and we approach Bellevue projects as design-and-build work. We start with how you want to live outside, then plan the pieces together: the patio and its levels, an outdoor kitchen or grill station, a covered area so the space works through the rainy months, lighting, and the planting that softens it all. Designing everything at once avoids the patchwork look of projects added one at a time.
Many Bellevue neighborhoods are built on hillsides, and a view lot usually comes with grade changes. We use retaining walls, broad stone steps and terraced beds to create level spaces, and we plan drainage behind every wall so it stays straight for the long term. On wooded lots we work carefully around established trees, adjusting patio layouts and footings to protect roots rather than removing trees that give the property its character.
Outdoor kitchens and fire features are some of the most requested additions we build on the Eastside. We plan them around real use: where the cook stands, how far it is to the back door, where the smoke goes, and how the space looks from inside the house on a gray winter day. Low-voltage LED lighting and a covered patio then turn that area into a place you use most of the year.
